Easter Brunch

I don't actually celebrate Easter, having abandoned my Catholic roots long ago. But I was in Portland and me cookign seemed to beat going out to brunch on Easter Sunday and fighting the hoards of people for coveted tables in diners across the fair city.

Plus, I got to try something new. This was the first time I ever poached eggs in water. First try: I'm awesome at it.

Secondly, I got this recipe from Poor Girl Eats Well. But I put my own spin on it. I bought this take and bake Garlic Parmesean Pugliese from the Alberta Street Co-op, and toasted it with olive oil in the oven. 4 totally awesome breakfasts for about $15.
